DUMAS BEACH

Dumas Beach is an urban beach along the Arabian Sea located 21 kilometres (13 mi) southwest of Surat City. This beach is famous for its black sand. It is a popular tourist destination in south Gujarat. Apart from the beach, places of interest at Dumas including the Dariya Ganesh Temple located adjacent to the main beach.

Holy Place - ISKCON Temple Surat

About 15 kms from the railway station and bus station, on the banks of River Tapi is the marvelous residential abode ofLord Shri Shri Radha Damodar. Shrila Prabhupada visited Surat city in the year 1970 which is a memorable moment in the Life of the devotees of Lord Shri Shri Radha Damodar.

In the year 1978 the premises with a small temple of Lord Krishna was recieved from the Kanahiyalal trust Jahangirpura with an area of about 900 sq.ft.Today it is the one of the famous and the biggest temple of the Surat city with the Temple area of about 13600 sq.ft. It gets the largest devotees during the Festivals and Sunday.

Places to Visit - English, Dutch & Armenian Cemetery

The tombs in English, Dutch and Armenian cemeteries at Surat are reckoned among the most important historical monuments in the city. It is reported that there was so much competition between the Dutch and the English in Surat to impress upon the natives their importance and power that they put mausoleums instead of tomb stones. Many of these are so ridiculously large and ornamental resembling Muslim tombs rather than the ordinary tomb stones in Europe.
